Give your weekly shop an artisan upgrade at Shad Thames’ newest pop-up market – Provisions.
Landing at Courage Yard on 2nd June and 11th August, 10am-4pm, Provisions will be the perfect opportunity to stock up on all the essentials – namely seasonal fruit and veg, freshly baked bread, cakes and biscuits, raw honey, delicious cheeses, deli goods, locally-roasted coffee, condiments, sauces and seasonings, craft spirits, olives, spreads and marmalade, ice cream, oysters and more!
Provisions will be championing local, independent traders, producers, farmers and makers in order to showcase the very best of what London has to offer and bring it to your kitchens.
In addition, local favourites Bermondsey Street Bees will be joining us for a special ‘Meet the Beekeeper’ pop-up, featuring a glass display hive containing a local honeybee colony from their Bermondsey Street rooftop. The educational experience will give visitors the chance to see their local honeybees at work, learn about their role in London and beyond, try on a bee suit and get a hands on experience with a smoker (unlit), beeswax and propolis! Bermondsey Street Bees’ multi-award winnning raw honey, handmade beeswax candles and their new book ‘Planting for Honeybees’ will also be on sale in the Provisions market.
As a nod to the history of an area previously known as ‘London’s Larder, Provisions will also be a part of this year’s London Festival of Architecture which takes place across London during the month of June. The full festival line-up will be published here.
